Plays
Joly Salter

TELL US A BIT ABOUT THE CHARACTER YOU PLAY?
Joly is a very tough woman who has struggled to bring up her twins and to give them all that she can - but it's not been easy. She's very tough on the surface out of necessity but still has a vulnerability underneath. I wouldn't mess with her though!!

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY ABOUT PLAYING YOUR CHARACTER?
She has an attitude which is so much fun to play. She is also very different from any character I've played in the past so she is a new challenge for me.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE AND DISLIKE ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER IF YOU WERE INTRODUCED IN REAL LIFE?
I'm not sure that I'd like her dress sense but I think we'd have a right laugh after a glass or two of wine!

WHAT ARE THE SIMILARITIES/DIFFERENCES BETWEEN YOU AND THE CHARACTER YOU ARE PLAYING?
I think I can be tough and determined like Joly and I think we also share this softness underneath, but I think she does have an edge on me when it comes to balls!

WERE YOU A FAN OF FOOTBALLERS' WIVES BEFORE GETTING INVOLVED WITH EXTRA TIME?
Of course I was - who isn't, you can't help but get glued to it!

WHAT DO YOU THINK VIEWERS WILL THINK OF THIS EXTENSION TO FOOTBALLERS' WIVES?
Every time an episode of Footballers' Wives finishes you're left thinking give me more, more, more - now the fans have got it!

WHERE WERE YOU BORN AND BROUGHT UP?
I was born in Hampshire in the New Forest and bought up in Kent, so I'm a bit of a country girl really.

WHERE DO YOU LIVE NOW?
In South West London and I love it.

DO YOU SUPPORT A FOOTBALL TEAM?
Well I live near Stamford Bridge (the Chelsea ground) so that's my home team.

WHAT IS YOUR STAR SIGN AND DO YOU BELIEVE IN THEM?
I'm and Aries and yes I believe in a certain amount of it.

WHAT'S THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING INVOLVED WITH EXTRA TIME?
A fantastic crew and cast - I love every minute of it!

HAVE YOU FILMED A MEMORABLE SCENE YET?
One of the first scenes I had to shoot was when I tell my kids who their father is. It had a real mixed bag of emotions running through it and was actually quite sad - it's the start of a rollercoaster ride for Yasmin and Rees though.

WHAT ARE YOU HOPING TO DO AFTER FINISHING FILMING THE SERIES?
I would like to be brought across to Footballers' Wives to give those women a piece of Joly's mind!

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR FREE TIME? ANY HOBBIES OR SPORTS YOU ENJOY?
Walk my dog, see my friends and family and if I have time I go to the gym. I have a marine aquarium and that's my hobby!
